A new restaurant for the high end hospitality sector in the city of London, opposite the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral serving pan – Asian influence food for locals, commuters and tourists. The interior was to showcase the knowledge and experience of bespoke finishing, culminating in a feast for the eyes.
This was to be the first of the Ivy Asia restaurants and we were delighted to be involved from the outset. The Ivy brand is very distinctive, so we had a good idea as to what to expect once the specification and drawings started to arrive. The surprise was the volume and level to detail required and of course expected. Deep bronze beveled antique glass is featured heavily in the design, to wrap around each column, above in the coffers and above the bar in aligned bevel sets reflecting the surroundings.
Strict time lines had to be adhered too but we had the luxury of working with one of London’s premier joinery companies on this and previous projects. This did make the process easier, but the level and amount of work involved really did test all the team that were involved from the outset.
The doors finally opened and paying guests now fill this superb venue, night and day. A real baptism of fire for our company in the restaurant sector but since then we have been proudly specified and completed the Ivy Asia in Mayfair, amongst many other high end restaurants in London. We are now considered as one of the go to bespoke glass suppliers and installers for the London restaurant scene.
