Sandblasted or frosted glass is produced with high a high pressure compressed jets of air with small mineral particles to the glass face, which has the effect of rendering the glass translucent by the scattering of light.

Frosted glass is created through a process of sandblasting a clear sheet of glass, which allows the glass to appear translucent as it diverts light particles and blurs the images simultaneously.

A process used to obtain visual privacy while still allowing light to penetrate the sheet or allowing LED lighting to transcend through the diffused areas on the reverse of a mirror.
